Dying to Myself, Rising a new man!

Yes that's right! I finally got baptized! My church here in Florida has a beach baptism yesterday at 4pm where over 100 people came out to support 17 people get baptized including me! It's not that I've never been baptized I just grew up in a Methodist church where being sprinkled is the way they do it. It was a last minute decision for me after it has been on my mind for a couple years. I had conversations with all sorts of people over the years from my dad, to friends, to the pastors at Fellowship. and needless to say a conversation with Rodney hit me hard! We just were talking randomly about baptism when he said in the Bible it says very clearly states that believers baptism is "by grace through faith" (Ephesians 2:8,9) By being baptized I was making a public statement in my commitment to follow God, it was my outward testimony to my inner faith. In the bible it explains that by being baptized through submersion you are "crucified" (standing upright in water), you are "buried" (immersed into the water), and you are "resurrected into life" (raised out of the water). Believers baptism is a picture of spiritual baptism as defined in Rom. 6:3-5 and 1 Corinthians 12:13. I truly am a sinner saved by grace and oh how greatful I am!! I love and thank all of you in my life who've supported me through everything I've done and everything I do!
